If you still have the stock hydraulic inserts in the tappet bodies, get the lifter you are going to ajuste to its lowest (opposite valve at its highest point). Install the pushrod, and extend it until the aduster just makes contact whit the cup. Mak one flat of the adjuster so you can count revolutions and extend the pushrod 4 full turns. Spin the plit nut up until it contacts the pushrod and tighten it. to not disturb your adjustement, tightening this locknut requires the use of three wernches at once. One on the adjuster, one on the pushrod and one to tighten the nut? You must wait until the lifter bleeds down before you go to the next valve. You will know tis bleed down when you can turn the pushrod you just completed freely. This can take 10-15 minutes. Go on to the next valve
